<징후의 조각들>은 송도유원지에 관한 단편적인 기억들을 각각 짧은 애니메이션으로 만든 기억 모음이다. 입구를 들어서자마자 나를 일그러트리던 마법 거울, 해변에서 똥 밟았던 일, 삼촌과 갔던 밤의 유원지, 망둥어 낚시, 닭강정, 수면 위에 반사되던 빛의 반짝임들. 송도유원지를 기억하는 누구나가 한 번쯤 떠올려 보는 이미지들을 반복해서 되돌려 보자 일상적이며 지극히 평범했던 기억 속에 웅크리고 있는 기괴한 세계의 징후들이 모습을 드러내기 시작한다. 반복되는 욕망과 허무, 불안과 고독, 쓸쓸함으로 채워진 세계의 시작을 본다.

Pieces of the Sign is a collection of fragmented memories regarding Songdo Amusement Park, made into a series of short animations. These memories consist of the magic mirror in the entrance, upon which I discover a distorted reflection of myself; stepping on feces in the beach; and tagging along with my uncle at the amusement park at night. There were also memories of fishing, getting fried chicken, and the surface of water dappled with light. These scenes might be familiar to those with memories of Songdo Amusement Park. In their repetition, however, signs of a strange world curled up in the slumber of the mundane begin to emerge: a beginning of a world in vain, filled with desire, anxiety, solitude, and melancholia.
